BT young scientist exhibition 

The BT young scientist exhibition was held in the RDS Dublin. 

there were many interesting projects there but i didnt really look at all them but i glimsed so i knoe. 

me and me owl pettle chloe got in a car that shows you what its like to be in a car crash and we did really relise when the car went upside down that our skirts would go up so while were hanging upside down belted in trying to keep out heads off the roof we also had to try hold our skirts down.. ahwell atleast we know now. 

also took a picture with a snake around my kneck for the news paper it reminded me of taking picture with old friends... the little snakes slithering off :') 

At the end of the day we had about half a hour before we had to go home me and chloe got in a line for this game that was when you went inside you had to try not break the lasers that were going across you while we were waiting chloe noticed he lads and decides to hit me so id look not noticing she hit me really hard so i jumped and then the started laughing so then until we got to the top of the line anything the said or did we laughed at was quite funny. but they were from laois or something and they tried talking to us but we thought there accent was funny and kept laughing at but then they start slagging our accent which was quite rude but we knew they were only messing so it was all g. 

When me and chloe started to actually playing the game after 20 min wait chloe tried to be a little ninja and failed misserably. she crawled first and the tried jumping over them and fell on the lasers then which was quite funny but we brokes about 22 out of 30 lasers... we were great. 

the projects didnt really catch my attention it was mainly the games that were there i enjoyed more but the games also had scientific reasons. 

there was one that you were in the mddle of a circle with different parts in it. what ever parts lighted up green you had to stand on and which ever one was read you didnt. 

there was two different tecniques to do one where you moved around the cercle and stood on the green and another where you stayed in the same place and just moved your feet to the green places. 

these where to show what way was better and turned out that standing in the one place then moving around was because your mind just focuses on where the green was and not focusing on moving and trying to find the green at the sane time, it was quite interesting if i do say so myself. 

Overall i think the BT young scientist exhibition was amazing.

tomorrow both ty classes are going into graften street to sell holly and raise money for the homless.
we also got first years to to make chrsitmas cards for the homeless and we are gathering hats and scarfs also for the homeless
we are also going to mary poppins the musical and then our last day before our christmas holidays we are going off for the day but we are not sure where yet but it is still something to look forward to
well thats the months of december how exciting cant wait.

amber flag day. 


amber flag day was a very successful day. 
in the morning we launched our amber flag website with the presence of briady from liffey champion and ms. smith and ms. barry. 

we then sat around and talked and for the two classes before big lunch the fairies went around to the first years and second year with the amber friendship bracelets that both ty classes made. 
while the fairies were going around the girls that were organizing the bake sale were setting up and getting ready for big lunch when they would be selling the cakes. 
during lunch girls from ty were singing songs in the first year mal and getting  everyone singing and clapping along. 

overall i think everyone enjoyed amber flag day just as much as we did organizing. 
it was a great success. 

ty is great so far we have been doing so many things as a year group.
our last work expierence of term one is wednesday the 2nd of december. i have been really enjoying work expierence and i dont want to stop but theres good new the asked me if i would work over the christmas and well i couldnt really say no.
Then i might be offered saturday work aswell.
we have a lot of event coming up over the next week we are going into town on wednesday the 9th of december to collect money for charity.
the following wednesday we are going to the musical mary poppins.
then we have two days of exams which are thursday and friday then on the monday we are going off somewhere but we havnt decided yet but we will and then we are finished for the christmas holiday!!!!! i cant wait

PE in the mill for the second time 



two weeks ago mr lawlor decided to put us into spinning for pe and well its the worst thing ever, 
the girl that does it is just so enthusiastic about everything and has so much muscle.
We have to cycle a bike while doing push-ups on the handle bars. 

Then theres the circuits part as well and we have to jump up and down off this big block whie holding weights and have to do sit ups and all you go to the bathroom about five times for a brake. 
Then just before you leave to go home you have to jog in a circle and every like 3 minutes he makes you do push ups or sit ups or whatever he feels like making you do just so you get extra sweaty and have to walk home looking a state with a tomato looking face and its rotten the sweat literally dripping off you. You would just feel like getting sick. 

But thank god there's only one more week of it, cant wait until its over. 

                                                                    

TY blog.  

To start of our pe classes my class Lagarde was brought down to karate in the mill, and the 3 weeks after that the other class was brought down and we have pe classes in the school.  

Our first trip that we went on was our retreat on the 16th of september. 

Our next trip was and over night stay in carlingford that has been my favourite trip so far when we first got there we were split into 2 groups my group went conuing first and we got to jump into the water. We had 3 guiders with us, John, Frazer and Hynie it was very fun. We then went back for lunch and after lunch we went lazer tag in the mountains, It was a really long hyke up and the hills were really steep, Honestly thought I lost about 2 stone walking up and down. When we finally reaced the area we were doing lazer tag we were asked did we want to mix in with the other mix school that was also there and we all agreed that we would which I don’t know why because we all looked a mess as our hairs were still wet after the first activity and none of us had make up...  

We were put into groups the blue and red I was in the red team and we won all rounds except one. 

We went back for dinner and then after we all had showers but there was only 3 and we all had to wait.. we then weny and got chinese and sat around talking and our lights out time was 11 while there was a primary school that lights out was 9 and they still weren't asleep when we were going they were all screeming out there windows at eachother which was quite funny until we all wanted to go asleep and to make it worse we were woken up at 7 am to music playing and at this time they were screaming out there windows again and well im not a good morning person so I was so annoyed.  

We got up and had to strip our beds and clean the room and then went for brekfast after breakfast we went to another activity were we had to do loads of tasks to gain gems and I remember one was we had to find our way trough a maze that was pitch black and it was so scary but me being smart brought my phone in with me and we used the torch on it anytime we got really lost it was quite funny and at the end my team had the most gems so we won and we all got to go zip lining which I loved.  

Our next trip was our art trip to kilkenny where we got a private screening of the song of the sea and I think we were all crying at the end of it well I was balling my eyes out.  

We then went to the kilkenny castle where the exhibihtion for the movie was it was really interesting.  

The next thing we did was we started our work expierence which is v tiring... 

I did mine in a salon and im forever cleaning it the girls just leave their stuff everywhere especially after breakfast or lunch theres dirty plates everywhere.
